POSITION: Ports/Structural Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Design structural, geotechnical, and civil elements for a range of projects, from site layouts to complex marine and industrial structures.
• Perform analysis and design of foundations, retaining walls, piers, trestles, ATONs, and other structures.
• Apply soil-structure interaction principles under gravity and lateral loading.
• Develop constructible design plans, technical details, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate drawing packages from IFR to IFC and support field inspections during construction.
• Prepare engineering reports, design calculations, and technical studies.
• Interface with clients such as port authorities, U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, and private companies.
• Utilize engineering software, such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, spSlab, spMat, Mathcad, LPILE, GROUP, A-Pile, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Optimoor, and Microsoft Office.

Senior Civil/Structural Engineer/Project Manager
We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our company. This individual will participate and lead teams to design small to large projects with primary focus on various structures including retaining walls, site development, drainage, paving, structural foundations, and structural steel.
The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years minimal experience working as an engineer in a team environment.
Senior Civil/Structural Engineer/Project Manager Responsibilities:
• Structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete, steel, and timber structures.
• Lead the preparation of design concepts, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Ability to lead the project team, monitor project progress, set deadlines, solve issues that arise, ensure stakeholder satisfaction, and evaluate project performance, including the performance of their team members.
• Prepare/review design calculations and check calculations.
• Coordinates design drawings with fellow engineers and drafting technicians.
• Participate in inspection and rehabilitation of existing structures.
• Perform design checks as part of the LEI quality metrics and best practices.
• Help resolve design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design works and detailed checking of design computations done by others.
• Develop, review and negotiate priced proformas for projects.
• Calculates quantity estimates.
• Work closely with other disciplines.
Civil/Structural Engineer/Project Manager Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Master’s preferred
• Problem solver.
• Professional Engineering registration in Texas
• Ability to work on Federal Projects and meet federal requirements to do so.
• Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) preferred.
• Experienced with Microsoft products
• Availability and willingness to travel (up to 20%)
• Solid math and analytical skills. Very detailed oriented.
• The ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
