Senior Civil/Structural Engineer/Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our company. This individual will participate and lead teams to design small to large projects with primary focus on various structures including retaining walls, site development, drainage, paving, structural foundations, and structural steel.
The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years minimal experience working as an engineer in a team environment.

Senior Civil/Structural Engineer/Project Manager Responsibilities:
• Structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete, steel, and timber structures.
• Lead the preparation of design concepts, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Ability to lead the project team, monitor project progress, set deadlines, solve issues that arise, ensure stakeholder satisfaction, and evaluate project performance, including the performance of their team members.
• Prepare/review design calculations and check calculations.
• Coordinates design drawings with fellow engineers and drafting technicians.
• Participate in inspection and rehabilitation of existing structures.
• Perform design checks as part of the LEI quality metrics and best practices.
• Help resolve design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design works and detailed checking of design computations done by others.
• Develop, review and negotiate priced proformas for projects.
• Calculates quantity estimates.
• Work closely with other disciplines.
Civil/Structural Engineer/Project Manager Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Master’s preferred
• Problem solver.
• Professional Engineering registration in Texas
• Ability to work on Federal Projects and meet federal requirements to do so.
• Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) preferred.
• Experienced with Microsoft products
• Availability and willingness to travel (up to 20%)
• Solid math and analytical skills. Very detailed oriented.
• The ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Ports Structural Engineer (EIT)

We are looking for an engineer to join our company. In this role, you’ll collaborate with the engineering team with the preparation of design concepts, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates on waterfront structures including piers, wharves, bulkheads, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures. This work includes inspections throughout the US and Caribbean.

The ideal candidate will either have experience or worked as an intern/co-op in a team environment.

Ports Structural Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete, steel, and timber structures.
  • Prepare design calculations under senior engineer.
  • Participate in inspection and rehabilitation of waterfront structures.
  • Develops inspection reports as needed.
  • Perform design checks as part of the LEI quality metrics and best practices.
  • Help resolve design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design works and detailed checking of design computations done by others.

Ports Structural Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Problem solver
  • EIT registration
  • Must be US citizen to meet guidelines for federal inspections.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products
  • Availability and willingness to travel within the US and Internationally if required.
  • Solid math and analytical skills. Very detailed oriented.

Design Drafter

Design Drafter Description:

  • Drafting designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Collecting and creating structural details required for designs.
  • Creating site layouts and site plans to illustrate the workflow of designs.
  • Design of proposed roadways, utilities, surfaces, and site planning in accordance to GIS mapping.
  • Organize and compile storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water line design.
  • Organize and compile roadway plans and profiles.
  • Collaborating with the design team to review drawings and designs.
  • Adjusting drawings according to feedback from engineers.
  • Ensuring designs comply with company regulations and quality standards.
  • Scope of work is levees, dredging, and trench.
  • Experience in land development.

Design Drafter Requirements:

  • An Associate’s degree in drafting preferred.
  • At least 4 year’s experience as a design drafter or a similar role.
  • Expert knowledge of CAD software, drawing programs, and Civil 3D.
  • Proficient in surfaces (grading, groups, and break lines)
  • Proficient in making corridors.
  • Proficient in creating profiles and cross sections.
  • Ability to create volume reports.
  • Excellent knowledge of engineering design principles.
  • Solid math and analytical skills. Very detail-oriented.
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
